Installation and updates
Availability
Available on macOS and Windows.
macOS
Available for macOS 13 and newer on Apple silicon and Intel. The build is signed with a Developer ID certificate and notarized by Apple. Download Velora
Windows
An early Windows alpha is available for x64 and Arm64 from the Download page. It is currently unsigned, so Windows SmartScreen may ask for confirmation on first run. View downloads
Update an installed copy
The current public release is 3.0.0-alpha.82.4. Draft candidates are not public updates. You can read the changes in the release history.
- Open your profile menu in Velora, choose Settings, then Updates.
- Choose Check for updates, download the available version, then install and restart when prompted.
- If active work blocks installation, open the linked sessions and finish or stop that work first. Restarting must not interrupt an agent.
- After relaunch, confirm the installed version in Updates. If downloading fails, use the matching platform installer on the Download page. Preserve your application data.
Update the terminal app
Run velora update to check. Standalone binary installations can use velora update --yes; other installations show the appropriate package-manager command. Use velora --version afterward to confirm. App and CLI installations update separately.
For npm use npm install -g runvelora@latest; for Homebrew use brew upgrade mehxeo/tap/velora-cli; for Scoop use scoop update velora-cli. The standalone CLI installer always follows the public release manifest.
Read every task tab
Task inspector tabs wrap when the panel is narrow. Use Left and Right arrow keys to move between tabs, or Home and End to reach the first and last tab. Browser and Computer tabs appear only for the matching run type; their presence does not mean the session is currently active.
