Update notes that read like notes

The updater's notes panel printed raw HTML source when a release's notes came from GitHub. Notes now render as formatted text — headings, lists, bold, code, and links — and update feeds carry their release notes directly, so the fallback to GitHub's HTML rendering stops mattering.

Native window controls stay in their lane

The macOS close, minimise, and zoom controls now sit entirely inside the sidebar's draggable title strip and no longer overlap Start a task, even in a narrow sidebar or compact density. A layout contract keeps future title-bar changes from quietly reintroducing the overlap.

OpenRouter picks models, Setup installs safely

OpenRouter connections gain a searchable model picker with a Test action that really sends a chat request. Setup can bootstrap Homebrew and Node and install agent CLIs safely, discovers MCP servers, skills, and rules from Claude Desktop and Cursor, and the first run gets a generative splash with a replayable tutorial.

Setup points at the right tools, and the picture arrives on time

Setup's installer links were aimed at the wrong products — Claude Code's link opened the Claude Desktop chat app — so they now point at the native installers, current docs, and the new Codex brew cask, with every installer URL covered by the link check. The account picture updates the moment it changes instead of up to a week later.

    The room runs the mission

Mission rooms become a place work gets done together: teammates can pause, steer, approve, or stop a shared mission from their own machine, see the live mission state, hand execution between machines with a lease and a checkpoint, assign human work beside agent work, and group rooms under team projects with shared defaults.

Windows ships again, and links stay honest

Three quiet releases, summarized: Windows installers return after a nine-release gap, the tour and screenshots catch up with the shipping app, and the site gains a 404 page, lighter images, and a calmer hero. Billing docs were rewritten, the Pro-grant rule got pinned by tests, and a dead GitHub documentation link was repaired with a link-check harness behind it.

  7. September 8, 2026 · 3.0.0-alpha.28

    The hardened boundary

A security pass over everything alpha.27 shipped: the packaged app now trusts only its own renderer, refuses DevTools and remote debugging, room joins are rate limited through a new Edge Function, CORS answers only allowlisted origins, and a secret-and-exposed-file gate guards the repository and its history.

  8. September 8, 2026 · 3.0.0-alpha.27

Codex tools reach Velora's approval gate

Codex tasks receive their task-scoped Velora MCP server through the App Server configuration that owns the thread, its reviewer forwards MCP calls through Velora's audited permission gate, and computer tasks accept any spelling of a namespaced tool. The live team release gate now requires three real providers and passed with Codex, Claude, and OpenCode.

  9. September 7, 2026 · 3.0.0-alpha.26

The sidebar keeps its shape, and the app explains itself

Sidebar grouping became structural, so a saved order can no longer dissolve it into one unlabelled list. New installs open on a short getting-started checklist that reads live state, the welcome screen moved into the account menu, and the icon set dropped eight arbitrary sizes for four sharp ones.

Sign in with a password, and meet the Brain

Sign-in no longer depends on an email arriving: the same email-and-password credentials as the website work in the app. The built-in Velora Brain reaches the composer's Refine button, plan limits gained real enforcement machinery starting with internal accounts, and the release toolchain stopped depending on GitHub Actions.
